Wisconsin supports food and farm business start-ups

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is providing support to entrepreneurs in the food and farming sectors to help transform concepts into profitable businesses. WEDC Secretary John Miller stated that the state offers various programs designed to guide new and expanding ventures through the complexities of the industry.

Through a partnership with the Farm Finance Institute and its Fellows Program, the WEDC aims to provide both financial resources and industry-specific expertise. The program focuses on helping entrepreneurs develop comprehensive business plans and conduct market research to ensure product viability and market demand before full-scale production begins.
