WISeKey and SEALSQ launch Quantisimo quantum platform via GigCapital8 SPAC

Swiss cybersecurity firm WISeKey and its subsidiary SEALSQ have created Quantisimo Corp., a special‑purpose vehicle aimed at building a publicly listed quantum‑technology platform. The venture has signed a non‑binding Letter of Intent with the Nasdaq‑listed SPAC GigCapital8, targeting an initial enterprise value of about $575 million and a long‑term goal of a $2 billion consolidated quantum platform through acquisitions of up to five quantum firms.

The companies plan to list Quantisimo on the Nasdaq, with the transaction expected to close after due‑diligence in the first quarter of 2027. WISeKey CEO Carlos Moreira said, "We believe the world is entering the Quantum Age," while GigCapital8 founder Avi Katz described Quantisimo as "a unique opportunity to create a public company focused on the emerging quantum economy." The move aligns with recent U.S. executive policy emphasizing quantum‑resilient security.

Quantisimo will combine WISeKey’s cybersecurity expertise with SEALSQ’s semiconductor and quantum‑security assets, seeking to offer investors exposure to the growing quantum economy for both commercial and defense markets.
