WiseTech Global and Xero shares under scrutiny on ASX
WiseTech Global Ltd (ASX: WTC) shares saw an increase on Tuesday, rising approximately 5% to trade at $33.31. This follows a period of volatility where the stock fell 23% over the previous month due to FY26 results that met earnings expectations but fell short of EBITDA market forecasts. Despite recent gains, the stock remains down approximately 51% year-to-date and is 66% lower than its value 12 months ago.
WiseTech maintains a significant presence in the logistics industry through its CargoWise platform, which is utilized by 24 of the 25 largest global freight forwarders. The company recently reported a 46% increase in EBITDA to US$558.4 million for the 12 months ending June 30.
In a broader market context, Xero Ltd (ASX: XRO) is also being monitored as a key ASX tech stock. Xero, a global provider of cloud-based accounting software, has seen its share price decline by 45.6% since the start of 2025. While Xero has grown revenue at an average annual rate of 26.4% since 2021, both WiseTech and Xero represent significant growth companies within the Australian tech sector currently facing valuation shifts.
