Wisnu Wardhana runs for Democratic Party Chair in East Java

Wisnu Wardhana has officially registered his candidacy for the Chairperson of the Democratic Party (Partai Demokrat) in East Java for the 2026–2031 period. The former Chairperson of the Surabaya Democratic Party Branch and former Speaker of the Surabaya City DPRD aims to revitalize the party's influence in the region.

Wardhana stated that his mission is to restore the party to its former glory, specifically citing its success during the 2009 election era. He noted that while the party once held 16 seats in the Surabaya DPRD, that number has since declined to three, and he intends to rebuild the party's strength in East Java.
