WISTA President Elpi Petraki visits Denmark, Sweden, and Estonia

WISTA International President Elpi Petraki conducted a series of visits to Denmark, Sweden, and Estonia to strengthen maritime industry ties and discuss the development of future specialists.

In Copenhagen, Petraki met with WISTA Denmark to discuss regional priorities and international cooperation. Her itinerary continued to Malmö, Sweden, where she visited the World Maritime University (WMU) and met with the WMU Women’s Association. Petraki serves on the executive board of the university.

In Estonia, Petraki attended the WISTA Estonia annual event at the TalTech college on Saaremaa Island. The event, themed ‘Building the Maritime Talent Pipeline: Education, Science, Technology and Leadership’, brought together maritime professionals, researchers, and government officials. During her stay, she also visited the Tallinn Shipyard to observe the country’s ship repair sector and technical expertise.
