Świt Property seeks to acquire Henkel's former factory in Racibórz

Świt Property, a company belonging to the Świt Group, has submitted an application to the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) to acquire assets from Henkel Polska Operations in Racibórz.

The planned acquisition includes land, buildings, and specific elements of production installations. The Polish investor intends to use this infrastructure to launch the production of laundry detergents, reviving the site's former specialization.

The Racibórz facility was previously used for brands such as Silan and Persil before Henkel decided to close the plant as part of a broader transformation of its Consumer Brands division and European production network. The closure resulted in the loss of approximately 160 jobs. While the Henkel plant in Racibórz is being phased out, the company's other Polish locations in Stąporków and Dzierżoniów remain operational.
