Withings launches Body Scan 2 health monitoring station

Withings has released the Body Scan 2, a device the company markets as a ‘longevity station’ rather than a traditional smart scale. Moving beyond basic weight and BMI measurements, the device aims to provide a comprehensive cardiometabolic assessment.

During a scan, which can take between 60 and 90 seconds, the device checks up to 60 biomarkers. These include metrics such as heart age, vascular age, and hypertension risk. The technology is designed to track health trends over time to help users optimize their long-term wellness.

The hardware features a premium, robust build with a display integrated into the handle. While the device is noted for its high price point and significant weight, it offers advanced features including seamless WiFi synchronization and detailed health reporting through a dedicated app.
