Witkoff and Kushner may visit Kyiv and Moscow for peace talks

U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner may travel to Kyiv and Moscow within the next seven to ten days to attempt to revive stalled peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. The reported mission, cited by the Russian news agency TASS, follows recent discussions between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding security guarantees and improved coordination.

A visit to Kyiv would potentially allow the envoys to discuss territorial issues, military assistance, and ceasefire conditions directly. In Moscow, discussions are expected to focus on Russian demands, sanctions relief, and the future security architecture of Eastern Europe. While Witkoff has met with Vladimir Putin several times since 2025, neither he nor Kushner has made an official visit to Kyiv during the current phase of negotiations.
