Witness testifies in Ekrem İmamoğlu criminal organization trial

In the trial concerning the alleged Ekrem İmamoğlu criminal organization, witness Murat Erenler provided testimony regarding financial and vehicle transactions between Adem Soytekin and KİPTAŞ General Manager Ali Kurt.

Erenler testified that, acting on Soytekin’s instructions, a Range Rover Discovery was purchased using cash provided by Soytekin. The vehicle was registered to Erencan Kuyulak, identified as Ali Kurt’s brother-in-law, and delivered directly to Kurt’s wife. Approximately one year later, the same vehicle was repurchased for 5.5 million TL under Erenler’s name using funds sent by Soytekin.

Furthermore, Erenler stated he delivered 500,000 dollars to Ali Kurt’s driver, Murat Başbuğ. He claimed Soytekin told him, “Ali Kurt wanted you to take the money.” Erenler also alleged that Soytekin characterized these payments as bribes and had requested that Erenler follow Kurt’s wife for two days due to surveillance concerns.
