Dutch Towns Hit by House Fire and Arson Incidents

A house fire in Gemert early on 20 July caused a mother and her child to be hospitalized. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze at the residential property.

In Vroomshoop, a series of fires has continued, adding to seven incidents recorded in June and July. The latest outbreaks include a vacant house on Julianastraat, which suffered significant damage, and the local train station where bicycles, waste bins and other items caught fire. Police are investigating possible arson but have not yet drawn conclusions, and they are urging anyone with information to come forward.
