Witten man arrested after fatal domestic attack kills 13-year-old son

A 40-year-old man has been arrested following a violent domestic dispute in Witten, Germany, which resulted in the death of his 13-year-old son.

According to the Bochum Public Prosecutor's Office, the incident occurred on a Saturday morning in March. The dispute reportedly began in a vehicle as the family was preparing for a holiday to the island of Amrum. Following an argument regarding ferry tickets, the man allegedly returned to the house and subsequently attacked his family.

Emergency responders found a 38-year-old woman and her two children, aged 13 and 9, injured. The 13-year-old boy died in the ambulance while being treated. The suspect was apprehended by police shortly after the attack near the scene of the crime.
