Wittenberge Senior Center Willi‑Kupas Pilots AI Voice App to Cut Nursing Documentation

The Evangelical Senior Center Willi‑Kupas in Wittenberge, Germany, has become the first Lafim‑Diakonie facility to test the AI‑driven Voize voice‑app for nursing documentation. Care staff record observations, fluid intake, vital signs and other notes by speaking into a smartphone, allowing the AI to automatically assign the information to the correct fields.

According to a study by Berlin’s Charité, the app halves the time needed for documentation, saving roughly 25 minutes per employee per shift. The reduced paperwork lets nurses spend more time with residents, improves hand‑over efficiency and provides instant access to up‑to‑date resident data on the device.
