He questioned why viewers expected a different reaction during a show designed for amusement, stating, “I don't know what you guys expect from these people, man.” Khalifa further noted that he would have participated in similar behavior if placed in that situation.

The incident has drawn additional attention due to its perceived irony, as Drake had previously advised streamer IShowSpeed to stop barking at women. Drake later acknowledged the contradiction on social media, writing, “I retract my statement.”
