Wizardry Variants Daphne launches Final Fantasy XI crossover

Drecom has started a collaboration between the 3D dungeon RPG Wizardry Variants Daphne and Final Fantasy XI. The crossover, titled “Fantasy Castle of Deepest Dark,” runs from July 30, 2023 (available now) through September 10, 2026. Players can explore a new limited‑time dungeon set in Northern Hollow, investigate a mysterious castle, and recruit three Final Fantasy XI characters—Prishe, Iroha and Zeid—each voiced by their original Japanese actors.

The event also adds Relic Weapons, a Trade Broker system for material exchange, special recruitment items, login rewards, and additional missions that grant gil and exclusive equipment. All content is free‑to‑play on iOS, Android and PC (Steam).
