WiZink, a consumer credit specialist, reported a loss of 3.07 million euros for the first half of 2026. This represents a 55% reduction in losses compared to the same period the previous year, according to Bank of Spain statistics.

During this period, the bank's total gross margin was 146.3 million euros, a 1.6% decrease from the prior year. Net interest income stood at 131 million euros, down 0.4%, while net commission income fell 10% to 14.8 million euros. On the expense side, personnel costs decreased by 21.8% to 25.8 million euros, and administrative expenses dropped 9% to 42 million euros. Provisions were reduced by 17.2% to 7.9 million euros.

The bank is currently involved in negotiations with Unicaja regarding a potential corporate operation. Unicaja previously confirmed preliminary talks in April, though no definitive decision has been reached regarding whether the deal would involve the entire bank or only a portion of the business. Unicaja is being advised by PwC for financial matters and Uría Menéndez for legal counsel.
