Wizz Air admits automatic reservation changes affecting Polish passengers

Polish travellers reported that low‑cost carrier Wizz Air automatically altered their flight bookings without providing any notice. Influencer and traveller Kajetano posted on Instagram that his reservation from Gdańsk to Sweden was changed without his consent, and others described similar problems such as a shortened four‑day trip to Porto turning into a 35‑minute layover.

Wizz Air later responded, acknowledging the issue and allowing affected customers to modify the altered bookings to more suitable dates or destinations. The airline said it is investigating the cause of the unauthorized changes and will contact passengers promptly.

The incident has raised concerns among consumers about the airline’s booking system and its communication practices.
