Wizz Air resumes flights to Middle East destinations

Wizz Air is gradually resuming flights to several Middle Eastern destinations following a period of reduced operations due to regional security concerns. The airline's winter schedule will include 12 routes and 49 weekly flights, providing approximately 470,000 seats across Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.

Key route resumptions include connections to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, and Amman. Specific regional updates include the return of the Bucharest–Dubai route starting October 25, 2026, and Cluj-Napoca–Abu Dhabi starting October 27, 2026. Other major hubs such as Budapest, Larnaca, Sofia, Rome, Milan, Krakow, and Katowice will also see restored or expanded service to these destinations.

The airline stated that the resumption follows a review of safety recommendations from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and that they will continue to monitor operational and security risks in the region.
