Wizz Air to Equip Entire Fleet with Starlink Satellite Internet

Wizz Air announced that it will install Starlink satellite‑based internet on all of its aircraft beginning in 2027. The rollout will provide high‑speed, low‑latency connectivity at altitudes above 9,000 metres, eliminating the traditional compromise between ultra‑low‑cost fares and on‑board Wi‑Fi. The airline plans to equip its 267 Airbus A320 and A321 planes, which carried 68.6 million passengers in 2025.

Chief Commercial Officer Ian Malin said the move aligns with Wizz Air’s mission to keep travel affordable while giving passengers reliable internet "from take‑off to landing." Starlink’s Vice President of Enterprise Sales Jason Fritch added that the technology is designed for seamless connectivity at cruising altitude. The airline, listed on the London Stock Exchange under the ticker WIZZ, has been recognised for safety and sustainability in recent years.
