Wizz Air to launch new routes from Salerno starting June 2027

Wizz Air has announced the expansion of its network through the Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport, introducing three new international routes starting in June 2027. The airline will connect Salerno to Budapest, Tirana, and Warsaw.

The Salerno-Budapest route is scheduled to operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays. The service to Tirana will run three times a week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday), while the Warsaw connection will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays. These flights will be operated using Airbus A321neo aircraft.

CEO József Váradi stated that the company views Naples and Salerno as complementary components of a single, strong regional hub in Campania. This expansion follows significant growth in the Naples region, where operational capacity increased by 62% year-on-year. The move is part of a broader strategy to increase international attractiveness in the region and support the growth of the Salerno airport.
