Wladimir Klitschko granted temporary guardianship of Panettiere estate
A California judge has granted Wladimir Klitschko temporary guardianship over the estate of the late actress Hayden Panettiere. The ruling aims to protect the assets of their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, who is the sole heir to Panettiere’s multimillion-dollar fortune.
Klitschko, a former world champion boxer, filed an urgent petition citing risks that the estate could be lost, damaged, or misappropriated. His attorney, Diane Park, informed the court that an unnamed non-family member had allegedly attempted to sell Panettiere’s jewelry at a pawn shop following the actress's death in August. The petition also sought authority to manage Panettiere’s upcoming tax obligations and to request law enforcement investigations into the recovery of missing property.
Panettiere, known for her roles in ‘Heroes’ and ‘Nashville’, died on August 16 from an accidental overdose. Kaya, who resides with Klitschko in Ukraine, appeared virtually at the Los Angeles hearing to confirm her identity. A permanent administrator for the estate is expected to be appointed in December.
