WNBA All-Star Game reserves announced, Angel Reese named

The league announced the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game reserves on July 7. The exhibition will be held on July 25 at Chicago’s United Center. Coaches selected 22 reserves, including Atlanta Dream’s Angel Reese, Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard – the Dream’s most represented team. Other notable selections are Washington Mystics guard Sonia Citron, forward Kiki Iriafen, Los Angeles Sparks' Kelsey Plum and Nneka Ogwumike, Las Vegas Aces guard Jackie Young, New York Liberty forward Jonquel Jones, Minnesota Lynx guard Courtney Williams, Toronto Tempo guard Marina Mabrey and Seattle Storm center Dominique Malonga.

Reese earns her third All‑Star nod, while Gray and Howard each notch their fourth. Ogwumike’s appearance ties her with Diana Taurasi for second‑most All‑Star selections (11), behind Sue Bird’s 13. Plum, the league’s leading scorer, missed the starter ballot after a leg injury. Coaches were prohibited from voting for their own players and cast votes for three guards, five frontcourt players and four position‑flexible players. Player voting was incomplete, with only about 85 of 144 players casting ballots.

The All‑Star game will feature the selected reserves alongside the starters announced earlier, completing a 22‑player roster for the midsummer showcase.
