WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert addressed the league’s ongoing problem of abusive and threatening messages directed at its players during the All‑Star Weekend press conference. Engelbert said the WNBA will intensify its existing "No Space for Hate" initiatives, continue dialogue with the WNBPA, and make necessary investments to ensure every player feels protected and supported. She highlighted recent steps, including a new collective‑bargaining agreement and revenue‑share arrangements, and noted the league’s growing media‑rights deals as evidence of its expanding platform.
