WNBA postseason seeding and MVP race intensify

The 2026 WNBA regular season is concluding, with playoff seeding and individual awards reaching critical stages. The Minnesota Lynx have secured the No. 1 seed, while the Atlanta Dream have officially clinched the No. 4 seed following a victory over the New York Liberty. The final seeding for the remaining spots, including the battle between the Golden State Valkyries and Las Vegas Aces for the No. 2 seed, remains subject to the results of the final games.

In the individual awards race, A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces continues to lead the MVP conversation, maintaining high statistical dominance in points and blocks. Meanwhile, Kelsey Mitchell of the Indiana Fever has set a new league record for points in a single season, surpassing the previous mark of 1,021 set by Wilson in 2024.

The postseason is scheduled to begin on Sunday, featuring a first-round format of best-of-three series, moving to best-of-five in the semifinals, and concluding with a seven-game Finals series.
