Wody Polskie clarifies upcoming meeting regarding climate resilience
Wody Polskie RZGW in Kraków has issued a clarification regarding an upcoming meeting scheduled for October 12, 2026. The agency stated that the meeting is not a consultation concerning the polder in the Szczurowa and Koszyce municipalities.
Instead, the session will focus on three framework documents being prepared under World Bank procedures as part of a project to build climate change resilience in water management. These documents include:
1. Environmental and Social Management Framework, which establishes procedures for environmental and social planning. 2. Stakeholder Engagement Framework, outlining principles for cooperation and consultation with interested parties. 3. Land Acquisition and Resettlement Framework, defining rules for land acquisition and potential resettlement during future investments.
Wody Polskie emphasized that these documents are strictly framework-based. They establish procedures for future detailed analyses and do not determine specific investment locations or technical solutions. Such matters will be addressed in separate consultation processes at later stages of the project.
