Włodzimierz Czarzasty addresses legislative delays and EU benefits

During a meeting with residents in Będzin, Sejm Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty addressed the status of legislative projects proposed by President Karol Nawrocki. Czarzasty contested the claim that 24 bills are being processed, asserting that only three active projects remain: laws regarding SAFE 0 percent, the judiciary, and cheap electricity. He characterized the situation as a “marshal's freezer,” noting that these specific bills faced negative opinions from the European Central Bank and the Venice Commission, or lacked funding.

Czarzasty also spoke on the importance of European Union membership, citing improvements in infrastructure and sanitation as direct results of EU integration. He contrasted current standards with life before the Schengen Area, recalling difficulties such as long border queues and poor rural infrastructure.

Regarding foreign policy, the Marshal emphasized that Poland's security is tied to the defense of Ukraine against Russian aggression. He stated that while Europe and Poland provide financial and military aid, the most vital contribution is that they do not provide the lives of soldiers.
