Wofford defeats Campbell 2-1 in soccer matchup

Wofford defeated Campbell 2-1 in a soccer match held at the Eakes Athletics Complex in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Wofford took an early lead in the 38th minute when Max Talley converted a cross from Fabian Menendez. The Terriers doubled their advantage in the 57th minute with a header from Franklin Spires following a cross by Henry Boner.

Campbell attempted a comeback in the closing stages of the game. In the 84th minute, the Fighting Camels scored via a Wofford own goal after a low cross from Jayco Castro. Despite the late goal and three saves by goalkeeper David Skorodumov, Campbell was unable to equalize. Wofford moves to a 3-0-1 record, while Campbell remains at 0-4 for the season.
