Wojciech Olszański sentenced to three months in prison

Wojciech Olszański, a far-right activist known as ‘Jaszczur’, has received a final sentence of three months in prison. The ruling stems from a 2022 internet broadcast in which Olszański launched vulgar attacks against TOK FM host Karolina Lewicka and guest Konrad Dulkowski. The court determined that Olszański’s remarks constituted incitement to hatred and the defamation of people of Jewish nationality.

While a lower court initially imposed a fine of 3,000 PLN, a second-instance court increased the penalty to three months of unconditional imprisonment. This follows another recent conviction where Olszański received a sentence of eighteen months of community service for hate speech during a rally in Grudziądz.

In response to the verdict, politician Grzegorz Braun has appealed to President Karol Nawrocki to exercise the right of pardon. Braun argued that imprisonment for speech is unacceptable and urged the president to intervene, noting that Olszański had supported Nawrocki during the 2025 presidential elections.
