Wojciech Szczesny still regrets missing Premier League title with Arsenal

Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who made 181 appearances for Arsenal and won two FA Cups, said the Premier League title that slipped away in the 2013‑14 season still haunts him. He recalled that Arsenal led the table for 128 days before injuries and inexperience caused the young side to lose the race, leaving the trophy as the only major prize missing from his career.

In an interview with The Athletic, Szczesny explained that the missed title remains his biggest regret despite later successes at Juventus – three Serie A crowns – and Barcelona – two La Liga titles and a Copa del Rey. He now follows Arsenal as a fan, praising the club’s recent title win under former teammate Mikel Arteta while acknowledging the lingering disappointment from his own playing days.
