Wolf sighted in urban Bari amid ongoing wildlife monitoring

A new wolf sighting has been reported in the city of Bari, Italy, near the area between the Stanic district and the Canalone. A resident captured footage of the animal, which appeared to be moving disorientedly through the urban landscape.

This sighting occurs while a prefecture-coordinated task force continues monitoring wolf activity in the region following an incident in August where a child was attacked. While a female wolf was captured on September 19 in the rural area between Noicattaro and Torre a Mare and moved to a wildlife observation center in Bitetto, experts have confirmed this new sighting is not the same animal whose DNA was found at the site of the previous attack.
