Wolf Trap concert canceled after worker killed by tour bus

A rock concert at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Virginia was canceled following a fatal accident involving a worker. According to U.S. Park Police, the incident occurred around 5 p.m. when a supporting apparatus failed, causing a tour bus to fall on a worker in a nearby parking lot.

The English rock band Squeeze, which was scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m., canceled the show out of respect for the victim. The band released a statement expressing they were “deeply saddened and shocked” by the loss of life and indicated they would work with the venue and promoter regarding potential rescheduling.

The identity of the deceased worker has not yet been released by authorities.
