Wolfenbüttel completes 4.5 million euro pedestrian zone renovation

In Wolfenbüttel, CDU representatives Veronika Bode, Marc Angerstein, and Holger Bormann inspected a recently renovated pedestrian zone. The urban development project involved an investment of approximately 4.5 million euros, with roughly 3 million euros provided through federal and state subsidies.

Local officials noted that the modernization aims to create an attractive, barrier-free city center. While the CDU supports the completed project as a model for other municipalities, the party currently opposes further extensive structural renovations of the city market due to a municipal budget deficit of approximately 19 million euros.
