Wolfgang Krinner discusses personal development and the KRINNER-Skala ©

Wolfgang Krinner discusses the complexities of personal development and training within organizations. He notes that such processes have become less common due to high costs, a lack of meaningful employee assessments, and infrequent clear objectives.

Krinner identifies two distinct levels of development: the acquisition of technical skills and knowledge (declarative memory) and the improvement of personality-driven behavior (procedural memory). To address the latter, he introduces the KRINNER-Skala ©, a tool designed to provide insights into personality structures.

According to Krinner, while personality traits are largely genetically determined and difficult to alter, training should focus on utilizing an individual's existing potential rather than attempting to change their fundamental nature. He suggests that approximately 35% of executives may be poorly suited for their roles due to personality-related factors.
