Wolfsburg stages Jazz2Jazz concert as part of Jazz & more series

On July 25, 2026, the five‑member band Jazz2Jazz will perform a free concert from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Hugo‑Bork‑Platz in Wolfsburg’s city centre. The event is the fourth of seven concerts in the Jazz & more series, organised by the Wolfsburg Wirtschaft und Marketing GmbH (WMG) and supported by ADAC Niedersachsen/Sachsen‑Anhalt. Band leader Peter Volmer highlighted the inclusion of new members drummer Andreas Lilienthal and Chilean vocalist Edit Wiepen, promising a repertoire of swing, blues and bossa nova in the style of 1950s traditional jazz.

A separate jazz‑focused broadcast, “Jazz Spezial,” aired on July 19, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The programme featured the 9‑CD box set “The Kenton Alumni Series – Live at the Royal Palms Inn” released by Woofy Productions in 1994, showcasing West‑Coast jazz musicians such as Conte Candoli, Carl Fontana and Buddy Childers. Listeners received a 52‑page booklet with photos and detailed session notes.
