Wolfsburg supermarket expansion and Edeka leadership changes

Edeka Marktkauf Wolfsburg supermarket opening retail management

A new Marktkauf supermarket is scheduled to open in Wolfsburg-Nordsteimke on December 3, 2026. The modern self-service department store is being built on the site of a former Real market.

In conjunction with the new opening, leadership changes have been announced for two Edeka locations. Rolf Kruse has taken over as the manager of the Edeka Center in Allerstraße, Wolfsburg-Nordstadt, succeeding Julia Ogiermann. Ogiermann will transition to lead the new Marktkauf location in Nordsteimke, a site where she previously held a management position for over ten years.
