Wolt Introduces Split Payments for Group Orders in Romania

Wolt has launched a new Split Payments feature for its food‑delivery service in Romania. The option, which became active at the end of July, lets each participant in a group order pay only for the items they select, while delivery and service fees are divided automatically among the members.

Customers can use eligible meal‑benefit vouchers and, if the order initiator holds a Wolt subscription, the whole group can enjoy the associated perks such as free delivery or discounts. Alexandru Ștefan, Country Lead and Head of Account Management for Wolt Romania, said the feature removes the hassle of one person collecting money from others and allows people to focus on their time together rather than the bill.

Wolt plans to roll the Split Payments function out to additional markets in the coming months.
