Wolt promotes bicycle courier safety in Romania

Wolt and the HaiCuBicla Association organized a safety initiative for bicycle couriers and cyclists during European Mobility Week in Romania. Held on September 19-20 at King Michael I Park, the event provided free technical inspections and minor adjustments for bicycles, including brakes, wheels, and transmissions, in collaboration with RVB PRO.

To enhance road safety, Wolt distributed 100 emergency alert keychains to participants, prioritizing bicycle couriers who are highly exposed to urban traffic risks. The company intends to expand the distribution of these devices to more couriers and road users in the future.

Additionally, Wolt announced a one-year partnership with the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC). This collaboration aims to analyze how urban infrastructure affects the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. The ETSC will produce an evidence-based public policy report focusing on intersection design, separated bicycle infrastructure, and speed management.
