Wolters Kluwer acquires Marosa for 112 million euros

Dutch multinational Wolters Kluwer has acquired the Galician technology firm Marosa for 112 million euros. The acquisition aims to establish a global leader in the tax technology sector, specifically focusing on electronic invoicing automation and VAT declaration solutions.

This transaction represents the second-largest foreign investment in Galicia this year. Wolters Kluwer, which reports annual revenues exceeding 6 billion euros and employs over 21,000 people, expects the purchase to generate a return higher than the cost of capital within three to five years.

The integration of Marosa into Wolters Kluwer’s portfolio is intended to meet the increasing global demand for specialized tools driven by stricter fiscal regulations and the rise of electronic billing.
