Wolverhampton Wanderers host Portsmouth at Molineux

Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to host Portsmouth at Molineux in a rescheduled Championship fixture. This match marks the first meeting between the two clubs in 16 years.

Wolverhampton Wanderers currently occupy eighth place in the league standings. Following a period of inconsistent form, the team secured a 2-1 victory against Burnley, with goals from Fer Lopez and Tawanda Chirewa. A win in this upcoming match would bring Wolves within two points of the automatic promotion positions.

Portsmouth enters the fixture following two consecutive victories, including a 3-2 win over Sheffield United and a 1-0 away win against Norwich City. Portsmouth currently sits in 13th place, three points behind the hosts. While Wolves have historically held the advantage in this fixture, they have failed to win any of their last six head-to-head meetings since 2002.
