Wolverine Worldwide raises 2026 guidance on Merrell and Saucony growth

Wolverine World Wide, Inc. has raised its fiscal year 2026 earnings and sales guidance following second-quarter results that exceeded market expectations. The company reported quarterly sales of $506.4 million, surpassing the consensus estimate of $501.69 million, and adjusted earnings per share of 40 cents, which topped the 38-cent estimate.

Growth was primarily driven by the Merrell and Saucony brands, which together represent approximately two-thirds of the company's business. Merrell saw revenue expansion of 11 percent, while Saucony grew by 9.9 percent during the quarter. CEO Chris Hufnagel noted that Merrell is focusing on modernizing outdoor products, while Saucony is positioning itself as a challenger brand in the performance and lifestyle running categories.

The company expects fiscal 2026 revenue to reach between $1.98 billion and $2.00 billion, representing a growth of approximately 5.6 percent to 6.7 percent compared to 2025. Gross margin for the quarter was 46.5 percent, impacted by higher U.S. tariffs but partially offset by price increases.
