Wolves and Burnley join race for Manchester United defender Harry Amass

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley have both entered the race to sign Manchester United defender Harry Amass before the summer transfer window closes.

Amass, a 19-year-old academy graduate, is seeking regular first-team minutes. While Burnley has held talks regarding a permanent move, reports suggest a loan deal is currently the more likely outcome for any interested club. Manchester United is reportedly open to a departure, with some suggestions that a permanent transfer could be negotiated for as little as £6m.

Amass has previous experience in the Championship, having made 21 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday last season before a brief, injury-interrupted spell at Norwich City. The decision for United is expected to hinge on which club can guarantee the young defender the most consistent playing time.
