Wolves in the Throne Room announce new album Estuary

The band Wolves in the Throne Room has announced their new album, titled ‘Estuary’, scheduled for release on October 23, 2026. The record will be released via Relapse Records in North America and Century Media Records in other territories.

Described as a genre-bending and ferocious work, the album features industrial elements, massive percussion, and gothic guitars. The concept is set 1,000 years in the future in a post-apocalyptic landscape where survivors navigate haunted ruins and mutant creatures. Lead vocalist Nathan Weaver noted that the album explores the tension between stillness and noise, as well as the connection between animal and machine.

Accompanying the announcement is the release of the new single and music video, ‘Ghosts Among the Obelisks’. The video depicts a warrior traveling from old-world lowlands to a mountain sanctuary through ruins inhabited by ancient spirits.
