Wolves in the Throne Room announces new album Estuary

Wolves in the Throne Room has announced their new album, ‘Estuary’, which is scheduled for release on October 23 via Relapse Records in North America. The band describes the record as their most ferocious and genre-bending work to date, utilizing analog production techniques.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Nathan Weaver explains that the album is set 1,000 years in the future following a cataclysm, exploring a post-apocalyptic landscape of ruins, mutant creatures, and new religious forms. The music aims to explore the tension between stillness and noise, as well as the connection between animal and machine.

The first single, ‘Ghosts Among The Obelisks’, has been released alongside a music video depicting a warrior’s journey through haunted ruins. The album was produced by the band, featuring touring bassist Galen Baudhuin.
