Wolvic releases version 1.10 with updated Mozilla engine
Igalia has released Wolvic 1.10, an update for the Virtual and Mixed Reality browser based on Firefox Reality. The update upgrades the underlying Mozilla GeckoView engine from ESR 140 to ESR 153, resulting in improved web compatibility.
Key enhancements include optimized VR video playback, with support for Full-SBS 3D videos and corrected stereoscopic views for 180-degree and 360-degree content. Igalia reports that memory consumption for immersive 4K videos has been reduced by approximately 60 percent.
User interface improvements include more reliable window movement, a new button to close all other tabs, and the ability to adjust window distance using controllers. The update also addresses accessibility for settings and language dialogs, fixes a bug regarding search engine settings, and enables sideloading on Lynx devices.
