WOM Chile rolls out permanent-price mobile plans, ending expiring discounts

Chile's mobile operator WOM announced three new SIMPLE plans with fixed monthly fees—Plan W at $10.990, Plan O at $13.990 and Plan M at $18.990—each offering 150‑300 GB of data, additional line options and roaming benefits. The pricing will remain unchanged for the life of the contract, removing the common practice of promotional discounts that expire after six months and cause later bill spikes.

CEO Chris Bannister said the move aims to increase transparency and rebuild consumer trust in a sector where confidence has been low. By providing clear, permanent rates, WOM hopes to give customers certainty about their monthly costs from day one.
