Woman arrested for real estate fraud in San Luis Potosí, Mexico

Lilian Edith N was detained by the San Luis Potosí State Prosecutor’s Office after an investigation linked her to a property fraud scheme. In August 2021, while employed at a real‑estate agency in the Independencia neighborhood, she participated in the sale of a house in the Santa Bárbara subdivision of Villa de Pozos. The buyer paid the full purchase price but never received the deed to the property. Prosecutors gathered sufficient evidence for a judge to issue an arrest warrant, which was executed by the Police of Investigation (PDI). The suspect was located on Ignacio de Fanduas street in the Estrella de Oriente residential area and taken to a reinsertion center while awaiting judicial proceedings. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities reaffirmed their commitment to pursue the case with probity and professionalism.
