Woman arrested in Samambaia for practicing veterinary medicine without credentials
The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) arrested Sandylla Kerollen Araujo Ferreira in Samambaia for practicing veterinary medicine without a degree or professional registration. The arrest followed a report from the Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine (CRMV) regarding the illegal exercise of the profession.
During the investigation, police discovered that Ferreira had used a forged professional registration number belonging to another licensed veterinarian to secure her employment at a local clinic. While the clinic owner claimed to be unaware of the fraud, Ferreira had reportedly used her social media profiles to claim she held a degree and a postgraduate qualification in sanitary inspection and surveillance.
Ferreira was taken to the 26th Police Station in Samambaia, where she faces charges for the use of false documents and the illegal practice of a profession.
