Woman assaulted in Cáceres after refusing to lend car to brother-in-law

A 37-year-old woman was assaulted with a chair in Cáceres after refusing to lend her vehicle to her brother-in-law. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday in the Aroldo Fanaia neighborhood while the family was consuming alcohol.

The victim reported that the suspect requested the car to pick up a woman, but she declined due to his visible state of intoxication. Following the refusal, the man struck her in the back of the head with a small chair and fled the scene. The victim received medical treatment at a local urgent care unit for a laceration on her neck.

The case has been registered as psychological violence against women, and the victim has expressed interest in pursuing legal action and requesting urgent protective measures under the Maria da Penha Law.
