Woman attacked by cousin with knife in Konya cafe survives

On 29 July, R. T., a 45‑year‑old mother of two, was stabbed multiple times by her cousin S. T. (35) in a café on İnönü Street in the Köprübaşı neighbourhood of Cihanbeyli, Konya, Turkey. The assault left R. T. with serious injuries to her ribs and shoulder, but she survived after emergency treatment. Bystanders subdued the attacker, who was subsequently arrested and later sentenced to prison. R. T. recounted that the cousin had harassed her for years, including threats of violence and a history of stalking, and that she had previously sought protective orders.
