Woman attacks YG Entertainment headquarters with golf club amid BLACKPINK anniversary plans

On August 6, a woman in her twenties entered the YG Entertainment headquarters in Seoul’s Mapo district and repeatedly struck the sliding glass doors with a golf club. Security staff intervened and police arrested the suspect without reported injuries.

The incident coincided with YG’s announcement of a limited‑attendance meet‑and‑greet to celebrate BLACKPINK’s 10th anniversary, prompting online speculation that the attack was fan‑motivated. YG Entertainment has stated there is no confirmed link between the assault and the anniversary event and confirmed that all four members—Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rosé—will attend the celebration.
