Woman found dead in Tanoso, Ghana

A 40-year-old bread seller identified as Anita was found dead in her room in Tanoso, located in the Kwadaso Municipality of Ghana’s Ashanti Region. Neighbors discovered her body on Wednesday morning after becoming concerned by her absence and a strong odor emanating from her residence.

According to eyewitness Tiwaa Lydia, Anita was last seen on Sunday. The discovery was prompted when an individual arrived looking for her, leading residents to check the room. Upon opening the door, she was found lifeless on the floor.

The Ashanti Regional Police Crime Scene Management team and Tanoso Police officers examined the scene. The body has been moved to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue, where it remains pending an autopsy to determine the cause of death. As a precaution, the Kwadaso Municipal Environmental Health Department has fumigated the area to mitigate potential health risks.
